Musical lovers are on a high note as Wicked is set to arrive in theaters next year with Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba in a live-action movie to be directed by Crazy Rich Asian's Jon M. Chu.
In an update shared by @wickedupdate on Twitter, it reveals new set photos of Wicked featuring Ariana Grande as Glinda and Bridgerton actor Jonathan Bailey who will suit up as Fiyero who later became the Scarecrow.
From the stage musical of the same name, Wicked comes from the 1900 novel of L. Frank Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and 1995 novel of Gregory Maguire, Wicked:The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Wicked is one of the most popular stage musicals of all time where Idina Menzel played Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Krisin Chenoweth as Glinda, the Good Witch.
The Wicked movie was first announced in 2021 by Universal Pictures and after multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the principal photography of the movie started in December 2022.
