Commander Wolffe made his return in The Bad Batch season 3 episode 7 titled Extraction. There, he works under the Empire's orders to take Omega back to where she belongs.

However, instead of siding with Omega and the Bad Batchers, he still seeks his brother to hand over the girl as he is still "a soldier of the Empire," maintaining his loyalty.

That said, the minute he removed his helmet to show off his face, fans couldn't help but question what happened to his right eye.

Turns out, Asajj Ventress (voiced by Nika Futterman) was responsible for it.

It was during the Battle of Khorm, when Ventress slashes his eye, resulting in Wolffe wearing a cybernetic eye replacement.

Although it didn't happen in The Bad Batch, it was a canon event for the Star Wars franchise, either way. Here's why she took Wolffe's eye in the first place.

Ventress cuts Wolffe's eye out with a lightsaber in both canon Ultimate Star Wars book and Star Wars Legends.

During the Battle of Khorm, Ventress had a bomb detonator in her hand, which could explode the very arena they set their fight in. Right when she was threatening to push the button, Wolffe shot down the detonator.

Because of this, she realized she had to escape before they got to her. In an attempt to at least take a win out of this, she slashed the lightsaber across Wolffe's left eye before leaving them in the dust.

Asajj has yet to return in The Bad Batch season 3.

Fret not, though, because according to X user @drunkwooky who recently spoke with the voice actress herself at Planet Comicon KC: "It's all very exciting. But The Bad Batch is just an appetizer for what's to come."

Meanwhile, Star Wars: The Bad Batch episode 8 titled Bad Territory airs on Disney+ on March 20.
