Fuzzy creatures from your childhood don't randomly go rampant on a killing spree for no reason, and Winnie the Pooh is portrayed in a different light in the Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey franchise.

So, why is Winnie-the-Pooh evil in the Blood and Honey universe? What's his deal?

Well, in the first film, Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet were "fending for themselves" after Christopher Robin left them.

The longer Christopher was gone, the more "feral" the two became, hurt at the thought of being abandoned by their owner whom they considered their friend.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey sets the titular bear alongside Piglet to hunt down and find their new source of food, which leads Christopher Robin's forest friends down the blood-soaked road.

Meanwhile, the sequel, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 will likely elaborate on the backstory between Christopher Robin and his former fuzzy friends more. Not to mention, the addition of Tigger on the roster.

Winnie the Pooh's Goal as the Bloodthirsty Murderer

As the official synopsis for the horror flick reads: "Winnie and his savage friends will show everyone that they are deadlier, stronger and smarter" than anyone and seek to "get their revenge on Christopher Robin" once and for all.

However, curious fans will find that the sequel will feature a younger Pooh's story of how he and Christopher Robin became friends in the first place.

The sequel may show how these two strayed from each other's paths, thus unveiling how Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends went berserk after Christopher Robin "left them to starve" in the Hundred Acre Woods.

You can check out the official synopsis for Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 below:

Deep within the 100-Acre-Wood, a destructive rage grows as Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Owl, and Tigger find their home and their lives endangered after Christopher Robin revealed their existence. Not wanting to live in the shadows any longer, the group decides to take the fight to the town of Ashdown, home of Christopher Robin, leaving a bloody trail of death and mayhem in their wake.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is slated to release in theaters on March 26, 2024.
