Why Did Yuta Cut Off Toge Inumaki’s Arm in JJK?
There has been some misconception in the fandom that Yuta cut off Inumaki’s arm. However, that’s not the case, as Inumaki lost his arm in the Shibuya Incident when Sukuna unleashed his Domain Expansion.
When Sukuna was up against Mahoraga, the former decided to counterattack. Sukuna’s primary motive was to save Megumi Fushiguro while taking down the uncontrollable shikigami.
Sukuna decided to go for the Malevolent Shrine, which is different from other Domain Expansions.
Malevolent Shrine severs space from its protective barrier. Unleashing one’s inherent domain without sealing off its barrier is comparable to crafting a masterpiece in the air.
Through the utilization of a Binding Vow to provide an exit route from the domain, Sukuna expands the ensured impact zone within its nearly 200-meter radius.
To spare Megumi from harm’s way, Sukuna refined the effective range to 140 meters. But as he launched the domain, it ruthlessly cleaved through the expanse of Shibuya.
Due to this ruthless and powerful attack, several civilians saved by Inumaki are blasted into oblivion.
Inumaki also ended up losing his left arm due to the intensity of Sukuna’s attack.
Did Inumaki Get His Arm Back in JJK?
Unfortunately, no, Inumaki did not get his left arm regenerated in Jujutsu Kaisen. In the finale episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, Yuta blames Yuji for Inumaki losing his arm.
Yuta also vows to personally execute Itadori as retribution for the pain he caused Inumaki.
However, it is still worth investigating that despite several users possessing the Reversed Cursed Technique, Inumaki is still unable to get his arm back.
Many believe that Yuta might be pretending that he can’t heal Inumaki’s severed arm, just to convince the jujutsu higher-ups that Itadori is the culprit.
However, it is also possible that Sukuna’s attack can damage the body and the soul of the target making it impossible for the Reversed Cursed Technique to do its thing.
Sukuna is someone who is a master when it comes to understanding the workings of souls, cursed energy, cursed spirits, and techniques.
So, it is highly likely that Sukuna’s Domain Expansion attack proved to be irreversible in Inumaki’s case.
