7th Time Loop surprised its viewers with the ending of its fifth episode. The crown princess, Rishe, is in a pinch after something bad has happened to her, unbeknownst to her future husband, Arnold Hein. So, why did Elsie betray Rishe in 7th Time Loop?

Who Is Elsie in 7th Time Loop?
Elsie is known as Lady Rishe’s handmaiden in 7th Time Loop. She was new to the palace and was often bullied by experienced maids, but not until Lady Rishe arrived on Galkhein.
Rishe took a liking to Elsie, so she appointed the latter to be her personal handmaid despite her poor credentials.
According to Elsie, her family is poor, and the most important thing to her is to always find food for her siblings. If she had the money, she could use it for necessities.
Therefore, Elsie couldn’t buy anything for herself, and all of her clothes were hand-me-downs from the boys.
She always felt like she had to deny herself all the pretty things she wanted, so she didn’t care much about what she looked like or even her dreams, so long as her family survived.
Everything changed after Elsie became the crown princess’ handmaiden. She was ecstatic after she was hired and was able to wear a beautiful uniform. Her salary also allowed her to buy meat and vegetables for her family.
So, Why Did Elsie Betray Rishe in 7th Time Loop?
Elsie has a very good relationship with Rishe, so fans were surprised to see her abducting her lady by the end of episode five.
Rishe has done nothing wrong to offend Elsie, which makes no sense for the latter to do something bad for the former.
While it looks like Elsie has indeed kidnapped Rishe, it’s the other way around.
Rishe knew from the start that Elsie had been working with Prince Theodore, so she anticipated that something like this would happen to her at some point. Elsie can't disobey Theodore's orders, after all.
Fortunately, Elsie had a change of heart, as she refused to abduct Rishe with Kamil, despite the perfect opportunity to do so.
Unlike before, Elsie now wants to protect Rishe from anything, even if it means receiving punishment from Theodore or being exiled from the city.
Then, Rishe volunteered to come with Elsie and Kamil to learn more about Theodore’s plans.
Rishe is a highly capable woman, which means she can escape anytime from her confinement, so Elsie has nothing to be worried about.
