WandaVision's post-credits scenes reveal so much more than what meets the eye. Both the mid-credits scene and the post-credits scene sets up various installments in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with WandaVision being the title to start the post-Infinity saga making more sense.

The mid-credits scene sets up the arrival of the Skrulls in the present time and with the upcoming Captain Marvel 2 in the near future, it makes so much sense to finally see them with the inclusion of Monica in the canon series and given powers through the hex given more weight as her story unfolds in the MCU.

As for the post-credits scene, this was more of a shocker. It started with the scenic views of the lake and the mountains and it zooms in to a small cabin in the middle of nowhere somewhere in the woods where Wanda is in recluse.

What baffled many is not Wanda in solitary and by herself in a cabin but it's Wanda in two places at the same time: one getting a cup of tea or coffee (seems like its tea, though) and one in the corner of her bedroom reading and studying the Darkhold, the book kept in Agatha Harkness' basement.

How are there two Wandas at the same time?

Well, the answer brings us back to the Sorcerer's Supreme himself, Dr. Strange. Remember when Dr. Strange entered Kamar-Taj and had a confrontation with the then Sorcerer's Supreme, Ancient One? That was the first instance astral projection is introduced in the MCU. Ancient One pushed the astral body of Strange from his physical body and introduced him to the world only sorcerers can go to.

Astral projection allows the sorcerer to separate his astral body from his physical body and the two could do different things at the same time. (Wow, imagine having this ability in real life. You can be in two places at once.) Dr. Strange used it multiple times in his introductory film in the MCU. He sleeps while his astral body is studying. He even operated on his physical body to survive a stab wound.

It's not a common thing to do especially to those who are not sorcerers. It's either you're a sorcerer or a sorcerer that will take your astral body out of your physical body. This was even shown in Avengers: Endgame where Ancient One pushed Bruce Banner out of Hulk to talk about taking the Time Stone to the future to save everyone that has been snapped by the Mad Titan.

Because Wanda is not just any ordinary Avenger, because she is Scarlet Witch, she has found out about the ability to astral project and make use of her time in recluse without her physical self losing the time to grieve and mourn over the end of her fantasy world.

Wanda's a witch, one way or another, she has been prophesized in the Darkhold with an entire chapter about her, a witch who's not born but forged, one with no coven, and one who casts spells without any incantations.

Agatha herself mentioned to Wanda that her problem is not in her magic or capabilities, it's in her lack of knowledge on how to use them properly. Clearly, these words struck a string in the mind of Wanda and she took it in herself to learn more about what she can do so that the moment she faces another powerful witch like Agatha again, this time, she's equipped with the proper knowledge on how to use her magic.

Indeed, Scarlet Witch is one of a kind. She's considered to be one of the most dangerous and most powerful entities that ever existed. Despite not knowing it yet, her powers could wreak havoc to the whole world that it could tear down the entire planet.

This is nothing new to her character. In the comics, with three words, "no more mutants," she erased all the mutants existing in the world. Yes, she's that powerful. Even in the words of Monica, had Thanos not asked his men to rain fire, Wanda herself could've ended him right then and there. She even faced the Mad Titan holding five infinity stones while destroying one. Her powers are at par with that amount of strength.

With the MCU finally exploring her capabilities, there's more to her story in the upcoming titles. It was even reported that Phase 4 of the MCU would revolve around her.

Wanda, indeed, is a force to be reckoned with.

ASSEMBLED: The Making of WandaVision will be released on March 12, 2021, via Disney+.
