Of all six original members of the Avengers, Captain America and Thor are definitely the strongest out of the bunch. The "worthy' duo is pretty much an unstoppable force as part of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

However, one of them has to be stronger than the other, right? And in this case, who would win a fight between the Super Soldier and the God of Thunder?

When comparing a superhuman up against a literal god, Captain America is technically still human and happens to be in possession of a Super Soldier serum that enhanced his physical build and heightened senses.

Steve Rogers, before the serum, was a good-hearted man who always did everything he believed was right for mankind.

In fact, it was the very aspect of him that led him to be the first from his army team to experiment with the serum. You remember, right? When he jumped in clinging the grenade to himself rather than running away from it?

Well, thanks to the Super Soldier serum, his tactics proved to be even more effective given his newfound strength that surpassed any average human’s.

His speed was triple times faster than when he was the scrawny kid who joined the army (running 13 miles in 30 minutes), and more so when Howard Stark gave him his iconic Vibranium shield.

As for the God of Thunder, Thor is known for his mighty hammer, Mjolnir, but as Thor: Ragnarok proved, he can very much be just as powerful without wielding any weapons.

Given his superpower to change the weather, the mighty hammer was simply a weapon where he could channel his thunder attacks toward his enemies.

Mjolnir could also lend its strength to Thor whenever he needs to fly or use something else apart from his fists to destroy whatever got in his way.

However, one thing MCU fans may forget at times is that the hammer was simply a symbol of Odin trying to make his son learn a lesson on how he is ‘worthy’ of the hammer.

After all, that was the basic requirement before wielding Mjolnir.

As Thor: Ragnarok exhibited, Thor could easily defeat his enemies with or without his hammer.

Now, the question is, since Captain America was able to summon Mjolnir in Avengers: Endgame, will he be able to beat Thor and Stormbreaker?

Well, while Avengers: Age of Ultron did foreshadow that Steve would be one of the next worthy wielders of Mjolnir, it cannot be denied that when you look at Cap and Thor, Cap is still human.

Even with Mjolnir, Thor would no less be the triumphant one since he wields a newer and larger weapon, the axe, Stormbreaker that cut Thanos’ head clean off his shoulders.

Besides, compared to an actual God who was born with the gifts of great power along with being an Asgardian, there is no doubt that Thor is still quite ahead of Cap.

Captain America may have been able to come head-to-head with Thor’s hammer against his Vibranium shield as well as with Thanos when he was trying to keep him from reaching Vision’s Mind Stone, a God’s supernatural abilities would always best that of a human’s.

Even an extraordinary human such as Steve Rogers.
