Who is Rachel Zegler Playing in Shazam! Fury of the Gods?
Rachel Zegler will be playing Anthea in Shazam! Fury of the Gods who may look young but she is already over 6,000 years old. She is the third daughter of Atlas, the youngest sister of Hespera who is played by Helen Mirren, and Kalypso who is portrayed by Lucy Liu.
There are a lot of speculations around the character of Rachel Zegler, on whether she would be siding with her sisters or would he turn against them because there are some indications that she is one of the characters that could make it or break it in the narrative.
The addition of Rachel Zegler to Shazam! Fury of the Gods brought a lot of buzz and at first, she was introduced to be a surprise character, only for her role to be confirmed as one of the daughters of Atlas in the last trailer of the movie.

Who is Anthea in Shazam! Fury of the Gods?
Similar to the Greek myths, Anthea shares a similar name to a goddess, Antheia, but here, she is not a daughter of Atlas. She is the child of Zeus and Eurynome, the goddess of swamps and flowery wreaths, one of the Graces in mythology.
In the original mythology, Hespera is the wife of Atlas who is the goddess of the West, and Kalypso is known as Calypso, the daughter of Atlas who was exiled in Ogygia, a nymph, cursed to wait for a hero that would stay with her in the island.
Zegler joins Shazam! Fury of the Gods with Zachary Levi and Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy, Adam Brody as Shazam! Freddy, Faithe Herman as Darla, Meagan Good as Shazam! Darla, and Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield.
Also included in the cast are Ian Chen as Eugene Choi, Ross Butler as Shazam! Eugene, Jovan Armand as Pedro Pena, D.J. Cotrona as Shazam! Pedro, Marta Milans as Rosa Vasquez, and Cooper Andrews as Victor Vasquez.
Djimon Hounsou is expected to return as the wizard. The Daughters of Atlas, the villains of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, are Lucy Liu as Kalypso, and Helen Mirren as Hespera.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods is slated for a theatrical release on March 17, 2023.
