Things are heating up in General Hospital as Sonny (played by Maurice Benard) faces off with Dex (played by Evan Hofer). With the recent episode, do we already know who is after Sonny on General Hospital? Here's what we know so far.

What Happened Between Dex and Sonny?
Monday's episode ended on a cliffhanger. It kept avid viewers on the edge of their seats as Sonny seemed to already know Dex's secret. After all, Brick (played by Stephen A. Smith) has shown him enough evidence to incriminate Dex.
In the recent episode, Sonny brings Dex to the Pine Barrens for a business deal. He tells him that he already has a suspect in the shooting.
Dex talks about the importance of loyalty, something that Sonny is adamant about since he already suspects Dex betrayed him.
When they get to their destination, however, Sonny tells his men to hold Dex.
Did Dex Betray Sonny?
Using the evidence presented to him by Brick, Sonny tells Dex he knows about the payments he's been receiving. But Dex asks him what money he was referencing.
The big question is who is after Sonny on General Hospital.
He tells Sonny that he is neither working with the shooter nor against him. Dex even reminds Sonny that he warned him in Puerto Rico.
When Sonny spots Dex's second phone, he asks him to unlock it so he can know who is after him.
Although Dex tells Sonny he was mistaken, he wipes out his second phone before Sonny can get a hold of it. This paints him as a traitor to Sonny, who is now pointing a gun at him.
Dex tells Sonny that the person who is paying him is not doing it to hurt him. Despite this, Sonny demands Dex to give him a name.
As this is going on, Carly (played by Laura Wright) tries to get in touch with Sonny before he can make a mistake. Unfortunately, Sonny is not answering his phone.
She faces Brick and asks him to tell her Sonny's location since Dex is not a traitor.
Back to Dex and Sonny, the former refuses to answer since he knows it will only pain him. Angry with this, Sonny says "Wrong answer!" before cocking his gun.
Who is After Sonny on General Hospital? Fan Theories Explored
We already know that before becoming part of the Corinthos organization, Dex was working with Michael (played by Chad Duell), who is the son of Sonny.
Although Michael has a complicated relationship with his father, he has made progress in repairing their relationship. But now that Sonny already knows his secret, Sonny feels betrayed. Talking about rebuilding the trust between them, he tells his son:
"You lost it the day you hired Dex to destroy me."
So now that we know Dex is working with Michael, who else is after Sonny and wishes him dead?
It's no secret that Sonny has several enemies on the show. He has butted heads with top-tier villains the likes of Frank Smith, Faith Rosco, Anthony Zacchara, and Manny Ruiz.
Of course, we cannot deny that Lorenzo Alcazar (played by Ted King) was Sonny's biggest enemy in the series. And although the character has been killed off, it's possible that he could be alive somewhere.
Again, this is just a theory since we don't really know whether he's been alive all this time.
