Castlevania: Nocturne is the latest addition to the ever-growing Castlevania anime franchise on Netflix. The anime features the direct descendant of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades, Richter Belmont, on his quest to bring down the queen of vampires, Erzebet Bathory. But who does Richter Belmont end up with in Castlevania: Nocturne?

Who Is Richter Belmont’s Love Interest?
In Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, Richter Belmont is head over heels in love with his girlfriend, the damsel in distress, Annette.
We are expecting that Annette will also be Richter Belmont’s love interest in Castlevania: Nocturne, despite the big changes the writers made to Annette’s character and storyline.
Following the storyline of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, Richter Belmont, regarded as the strongest Belmont, found his way into the village of Aljiba. There, Richter met his eventual girlfriend, Annette.
At the time, Dracula returned thanks to a dark priest named Shaft, who sacrificed a virgin to bring back the Lord of Castlevania.
After Dracula's resurrection, he sent his night creatures to the village of Aljiba, where three young women were kidnapped while Richter Belmont was away.
Annette was one of these three women, including the young nun Tera and the doctor-in-training, Iris.
This caught the attention of the then 12-year-old girl, Maria Renard, who attempted to save the three women from Dracula’s clutches.
Maria Renard is an offshoot of the Belmont family, so she knows how to fight the night creatures by combining her magic with her combat prowess.
But Maria’s efforts were not enough to save Annette and the others, and just like them, Maria fell victim to Dracula’s scheme.
This is where things get interesting, as Richter Belmont vows to defeat Dracula and his forces to save his beloved Annette.
Of course, Castlevania: Nocturne’s story will follow a different path. The plot depicts Annette as a fearless and clever fighter from the Caribbean, capable of using magic and swords.
She is not a damsel in distress that Richter Belmont has to save.
Does Richter Belmont End Up With Annette in Castlevania: Nocturne?
Richter Belmont is expected to end up with Annette in Castlevania: Nocturne, like how they end up marrying each other in the original source material to continue the Belmont lineage.
We are guessing that the love story between Richter and Annette will have significant changes, so expect that the relationship between these two beloved characters will have a different pacing and development.
What is certain is that Richter and Annette will team up to bring down the queen of the vampires, Erzebet Bathory, along with the young revolutionary Maria Renard and Annette’s companion, Edouard.
But bear in mind that Castlevania: Nocturne might shake things up by disregarding the romance between Richter and Annette and going down a different path.
Perhaps the progress of their love story will be somewhat similar to that of Trevor and Sypha.
Does Richter End Up With Annette in the Castlevania Games?
Yes, Richter Belmont ends up with Annette in the Castlevania games. They also end up marrying each other after Richter Belmont goes out of the picture, passing the holy weapon (the vampire killer whip) to the Morrises.
The couple continues the Belmont bloodline, which in turn continues the recurring theme of Castlevania of restoring and reinventing the Belmont family legacies against Dracula.
Richter may be the strongest Belmont, but he is also known for bringing the greatest shame to the Belmont lineage.
He was corrupted by Shaft, Dracula’s dark priest, who was able to make him the lord of Dracula’s castle for a short time.
Thanks to Alucard’s efforts, Richter Belmont was saved. But Richter has never been the same, due to his corruption and unfortunate experience.
Even so, Richter helped Maria save Alucard when a vampire named Magnus tried to bring Dracula back.
