AMC’s Parish features a star-studded cast, and its latest episode featured an appearance from a well-known actress. Following Episode 3, fans have been talking about Amanda Brugel and her role in Parish.
While her role in the series is smaller than her appearances in other shows, Brugel definitely made an impression in her screen time during episode 3.

All You Need to Know About Amanda Brugel
Amanda Brugel is a Canadian actress who has played numerous roles in popular movies and TV shows over the years.
When it comes to her TV roles, Brugel is perhaps best known for playing Rita Blue in The Handmaid’s Tale. In the series, Rita Blue started as a supporting character in Season 1, though she became a major player in the following seasons.
Brugel also played Pastor Nina Gomez in the popular sitcom Kim’s Convenience, Eugenia in Netflix’s Snowpiercer, and Marci Coates in Orphan Black.
As for her film roles, Brugel played Jennifer in Brandon Cronenberg’s sci-fi horror film Infinity Pool which was released in January 2023.
There, Brugel joined the film’s stacked cast which includes the likes of Alexander Skarsgård and Mia Goth.
Now, Brugel stars in the new AMC series Parish, a crime drama based on BBC’s The Driver. While she’s more of a guest star in the series, her role is much more than a cameo.

Who Does Amanda Brugel Play in AMC’s Parish?
In the third episode of Parish, Brugel portrays Sister Anne, someone who knew the protagonist Gracián "Gray" Parish in the past.
Even though her appearance in the show is fairly short so far, Sister Anne has been noted in reviews as a scene-stealer.
Sister Anne finding herself in the comfort of the church offers a compelling contrast to Gray Parish (played by Giancarlo Esposito), the protagonist who finds himself once again diving back into the world of crime.

How Many Episodes Will Parish Have?
AMC’s Parish premiered on March 31, with new episodes being released weekly. As of this article’s writing, the series is now three episodes into its run.
It won’t be a long run though as Parish will only have six episodes, meaning its finale will air on May 4, 2024. New Parish episodes are released on AMC and AMC+ every Sunday.
