The Dora Milaje dons a tangerine-colored suit but there are those who wears blue now, as revealed in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, they are the Midnight Angels. Who are they and what do they bring to the table for the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
How Were The Midnight Angels Formed in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?
For years, the main group of warriors fighting alongside the Black Panther is the Dora Milaje, a group of the most skilled women combatants in Wakanda and it has been led by their general, Okoye, that is, until Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where she was stripped off of her title.
In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, while on a mission to get Riri Williams, Okoye and Shuri stumbled upon the Talocans and as a result, they were outnumbered so Shuri bargained herself for the life of Riri. Okoye had to go home to Wakanda alone to tell what happened.
Queen Ramonda was too mad on Okoye that she was removed from the Dora Milaje and became a normal citizen of Wakanda. When Shuri returned, she personally approached Okoye to fight by her side, not as part of the Dora Milaje, but as a Midnight Angel.
Straight from the comics, the Midnight Angels were formed when the Dora Milaje was divided and some of their members separated, forming their very own strike-force team.

Who Are The Midnight Angels in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?
As for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, there was no separation of the Dora Milaje members but rather, it is Shuri who coined their name to be "Midnight Angels," based on the new suit that she made for them. It wasn't much but it helped a lot during battle.
So far, there are only two Midnight Angels: Okoye and Aneka. When Okoye was removed from the Dora Milaje, she continued her unwavering loyalty to Wakanda and Shuri knows Okoye is much better with a suit and a spear than being somewhere in the city as a normal citizen.
Shuri personally offered Okoye the suit of the Midnight Angel knowing that she would need all the help she can get in facing Namor. Okoye accepted and even asked Shuri how many suits are there, is was just two, one for her, and one for another whom Okoye recruited: Aneka.
See, Aneka wasn't in the Dora Milaje but she is one hell of a fighter. She displayed it during the CIA attack at a Wakandan outreach center. She is in a relationship with the new Dora Milaje general, Ayo. Okoye knows of Aneka's capacity to fight, thus, Aneka becomes a Midnight Angel as well.
How Will The Midnight Angels Affect The MCU Going Forward?
For years, there have been talks surrounding a spin-off series to be led by Danai Gurira's Okoye and with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever finally introducing the Midnight Angels, this may be the seed of the MCU for the spin-off series.
The introduction of the Midnight Angels could be pivotal to the MCU going forward because this will give other girls from Wakanda a chance to fight for their nation even without having to be among the Dora Milaje. Also, this gives more security to Wakanda having their own strike-force team.
