Who Are the Humanoid Shuuki in Chained Soldier?
The humanoid shuuki are a group of Mato mishap victims who turned from being human to half-human and half-monster after an accident.
Their souls are still human, and they usually act friendly except to the Demon Defense Force and to those who pose a threat to their kind.
They live in a hidden home village where there aren’t any peach trees in sight so that the Demon Defense Force doesn’t come poking around their business.
They think that Kyouka Uzen and the rest of her organization are their enemies, not only because they enslaved Yuuki but also because of their hierarchy.
In other words, the humanoid shuuki can’t be allies with the Demon Defense Force. According to Aoba Wakura, they turned into humanoids because of the peaches.
The Onmyou Agency, which studies humanoids, believes that they mutated after eating peaches while still inside Mato. The miasma in the atmosphere also contributed to their mutation.
Unlike ordinary women with peach blessings, humanoids have a higher level of abilities.
What Are the Abilities of the Known Humanoid Shuuki in Chained Soldier?
There are three known humanoid shuuki in Chained Soldier, and they are Aoba Wakura, Naon Yuno, and Koko (Coco in some translations) Zenibako.
Aoba Wakura is the leader of the humanoid shuuki and the other people who live inside the hidden village.
She is Yuuki Wakura’s missing sister, capable of eating multiple peaches to boost her abilities.
She can manipulate her hair to attack and defend, in addition to being able to fire laser beams from her mouth.
She also has heightened senses, which allows her to overwhelm Tenka Izumo’s peach blessing.
On the other hand, Naon Yuno has a peach blessing called Hidden Beauty. It reflects her personality and love for all things beautiful, similar to other women with peach abilities.
With Hidden Beauty, Naon can enter, exit, or even hide through organic and inorganic solid objects.
Meanwhile, Koko Zenibako has a very childlike personality. She can manipulate her body fluids to release slime from her body, protect herself, and even treat wounds.
Her saliva has medical properties capable of healing cuts and bruises.
All the humanoid shuuki also have increased physical abilities, which makes them dangerous opponents.
