Who Is Aoba Wakura in Chained Soldier?
Aoba is Yuuki’s older sister, who once taught him lessons about becoming a responsible young man.
However, she mysteriously disappeared six years ago during the Mato Disaster.
In the third episode of Chained Soldier, we learn that Aoba might be some kind of Shuuki.
As it turns out, she is a Humanoid Shuuki, and after she consumed a peach in Mato, she transformed into one.
As a Humanoid Shuuki, Aoba demonstrates extraordinary physical strength surpassing that of ordinary humans and rivaling that of the Chiefs.
This is evident in her ability to hold her own against both Kyouka and Tenka Izumo.
Moreover, she possesses an incredible life force that bestows upon her remarkable healing, potent longevity, abilities, enhanced stamina, and robust vitality.
Aoba is also the commander of the Hidden Village and holds authority over the Humanoid Shuuki living there, earning their respect.
Many among them regard Aoba as their elder sister. But is she evil in the series? Let’s find out.
Is Yuuki Wakura’s Sister Aoba Evil in Chained Soldier?
After disappearing during a Mato Disaster six years ago, Aoba consumed a peach and was granted new abilities.
However, the peach’s influence spiraled out of control, triggering mutations and transforming her into a Humanoid Shuuki.
In her early encounter with Kyouka and Yuuki, she recognizes her younger brother.
Despite having transformed, Aoba still feels protective over Yuuki and cares for him as a sibling.
In fact, upon reuniting with Yuuki, Aoba abducted him to bring him to Hidden Village.
She appreciated his efforts to negotiate a ceasefire, even though the initial attempt had failed.
Aoba was relieved that their paths did not have to lead to them becoming enemies.
Meanwhile, Aoba and Kyouka’s relationship started on a rough patch. Their conflicting objectives and Aoba’s ambition to overthrow the Onmyou Agency with a rebellion fueled hostility between the two.
But following the assault by the Thunder Gods and after witnessing Kyouka’s deep concern for Yuuki, Aoba’s perspective on Kyouka underwent a significant shift.
Kyouka became one of the two captains whom Aoba trusted, along with Tenka of the 6th Division.
Therefore, it is safe to say that Aoba might have her peculiar ways of doing things, but she certainly is not evil in Chained Soldier.
