Sex Education, Netflix’s hit teen comedy-drama series, is coming to an end with its fourth and final season. Apart from its unique storytelling and relatable characters, another thing that stands out in the popular series is the beautiful locations it features. So, where was Sex Education filmed?
A British production, Sex Education was filmed in various locations in Wales and England. Let’s take a closer look at the notable places in Netflix’s Sex Education and where they were filmed.

Where Is the Sex Education House (Otis’ House) Located?
The Moordale students may have transferred to a new school now, but one thing that stays throughout the series is Otis and Jean’s house.
The distinctive red and white house is called The Chalet, and it’s available to rent as a short-term holiday let. It’s a five-bedroom house that offers some breathtaking views. It’s located next to the River Wye at Symonds Yat East in Herefordshire.
Where Is Sex Education’s Moordale Secondary School?
The scenes set at Moordale Secondary were filmed at the disused University of South Wales campus in Caerleon, Newport, which housed around 4,500 students until 2016.
The school’s gym, however, is not part of the campus. Scenes set at the gym were filmed in the town of Penarth in the Paget Rooms.
For the scenes set at the swimming pool, they were filmed at the Newport International Sports Village complex. And for the scenes set at the school’s running track, they were filmed at the Cwmbran Stadium in South Wales.
Where Is Sex Education’s Cavendish College?
Following the closure of Moordale Secondary School, Otis and the rest of the ex-Moordale students transferred to Cavendish Sixth Form College. So, where is this located?
Scenes set in Cavendish College were filmed at a very popular Welsh tourist attraction, St. Fagans National Museum of History in Cardiff.
According to WalesOnline, “the museum is Wales' most popular heritage attraction, where over 50 historic buildings from all over Wales have been re-built including a Victorian school, a medieval church and a Workmen's Institute.”
Other filming locations in Sex Education include the Old Railway Bridge in Tintern (the bridge Otis and Eric often cross when heading to school), the Forest of Dean (where Otis and Eric’s disastrous camping trip took place), and Cwmcarn Forest (used in the series as the road to Cavendish College).
