- Quick Summary: All three Moana movies, including the 2026 live-action remake, are now available to stream on Disney+. The two animated films and the live-action adaptation are part of Disney’s growing Moana franchise.
Moana has become a modern Disney animated classic, thanks to its memorable songs, vibrant world, and compelling characters. With an inspiring message that encourages audiences to discover "how far they'll go," the franchise has grown to include two animated feature films and a live-action remake of the original.
The first animated film follows Moana herself, who answers the Ocean's call to seek out the demigod Maui and reverse a devastating curse threatening her home. The story continues in Moana 2, which reunites audiences with Moana as she embarks on another ocean adventure. Now, the live-action adaptation brings the beloved story to life with a new cast, breathtaking locations, and a fresh take on the original adventure.
