Blue Exorcist is dark fantasy manga series by Kazue Kato. A-1 Pictures adapted it into an anime which was followed by an anime film entitled Blue Exorcist: The Movie. Blue Exorcist follows the story of Rin Okumura and Yukio Okumura. They were raised by Shiro Fujimoto, who is an Exorcist. The siblings found out that they are the sons of Satan.
After Shiro died to protect Rin, he decided to draw the Kurikara, a demon-slaying sword that can restrain his demonic abilities.
This incident triggered his demonic features and a new ability that can destroy everything he touches.

How Much of Blue Exorcist Did the Anime Cover?
Season 1 of Blue Exorcist adapted until Chapter 14, while Season 2 adapted until Chapter 34 of the manga.
The latest chapter released by Viz Media is Chapter 137, while the next chapter (Chapter 138) will be available in January 2023.

For those who wish to know what happens next in Blue Exorcist, they can go to MangaPlus by Shueisha and start reading the manga from Chapter 35 onwards, as that part hasn't been adapted by the anime yet.

Blue Exorcist Season 3 Predictions
Unfortunately, there has been no news yet regarding a potential third season for Blue Exorcist. It has been five years since Season 2 was released and fans are hoping to see the continuation of the shonen anime on screen.
The manga is still ongoing so there is a lot of content available to adapt. But ultimately, that decision will depend on the show's creators.
Sometimes, the success of the previous season is also considered, in addition to the demand for and popularity of the series.
To its credit, Blue Exorcist received great feedback from critics. The manga’s seventh volume was also the first print to have one million copies on Jump Square, which is a huge milestone.
Although, fans have noticed that the official Twitter account of Blue Exorcist no longer promotes the series, so this might spell bad news for those who are still waiting for the anime's third season.
