Much to many netizens' surprise, the production team for Vincenzo never set foot in Italy to film any of its scenes. Two months before Vincenzo ended, tvN Drama took to their official Twitter account to release a behind-the-scenes video for the show.

In particular, the video showed comparisons of the visuals before rendering the computer graphics and the actual scenes in every episode. Many viewers really thought the Kdrama was set in Italy.

But, during the Kdrama's production, the COVID-19 pandemic hit Europe hard. So, the team had to create interventions and decided to film in a similar-looking location and use computer graphics, instead.

Lots of viewers of the series actively expressed their amusement after finding out how flexible and professional Song Joong Ki is as an actor. It is relatively hard to act and speak in Italian, but it was more impressive knowing that he wasn't at all in Italy, especially in the first episode.

Vincenzo opened with Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong Ki) carrying a suitcase. As he goes on his way to have a talk with Emilio, breath-taking views and landscapes of iconic places and locations in Italy absolutely captured the viewers' attention.

Thus, the huge shock that fans experienced the moment the production team revealed that not a single member of the cast and crew went to Italy to film.

A round of applause to the production team, of course, for doing such a marvelous job that we never have thought all the scenes in Italy were computer graphics.

Aside from the Italian landscapes (that we now know were all computer graphics), many have also fallen in love with the portrayal of Song Joong Ki as the Italian lawyer and Mafia consigliere Vincenzo Cassano.

After his adopted father Don Fabio dies at the hands of their family's dear friend, Vincenzo's life started to be in danger due to a sudden clash between the mafia groups. To this, he decided to go back to South Korea and sets for a mission to recover 1.5 tons of gold that a deceased Chinese businessman left.

Alongside Song Joong Ki is actress Jeon Yeo Been as Hong Cha Young, a lawyer under Wusang Law Firm who eventually became the CEO of Jipuragi Law Firm after her father died.

Also, 2PM member Ok Taecyeon decorated the series with his fiery acting as Jang Han Seok/Jang Jun Woo, the true CEO of Babel Group who starts to use his authority to get rid of Vincenzo Cassano.

Actor Kwak Dong Yeon also received huge admiration as he gave life to the character of Jang Han Seo, the half-brother of Jang Han Seok who eventually takes sides with Vincenzo after realizing his worth.
