Houston influencer Dominique Sachse, who runs the podcast Over 50 & Flourishing, hinted at some big life changes in a recent vlog, including a new job and a city move. So, where is Sachse going and what's next for her?

Who Is Dominique Sachse?
Dominique Sachse is the 56-year-old influencer, podcaster, and author behind the Over 50 & Flourishing with Dominique Sachse podcast.
Before becoming an influencer, Sachse was an evening news anchor for KPRC 2 for 28 years. She started her nearly three-decade career as a Metro Traffic reporter for different radio stations in 1990. She then had a stint as a disc jockey before she moved to Channel 2 to join the morning show handling traffic reports.
She later made her way to news anchor roles, where her career grew for almost three decades.
True to her vlog's name, Sachse creates content for women who are over 50 years old, with the mission statement to help them "create a happy and beautiful purpose-driven life." She published her book, Life Makeover: Embrace the Bold, Beautiful and Blessed You, in April 2022.
Her YouTube channel has nearly 2 million subscribers.
Podcaster Hints at New Job, Moving Plans and More Changes
On January 9, 2024, Sachse released a video on her YouTube channel entitled I'm Leaving Houston…
In the 47-minute clip, Sachse shared some bits about her career and the things she's looking forward to in 2024. One of these is a new job-- "an opportunity that she could not turn down" – which she briefly gushed about.
However, all Sachse said about her new job is that it's supposed to start on January 8th, and left the details vague, promising she will be updating followers as soon as she can.
The influencer also shared that this opportunity came at the right time when her lease on her rented home was expiring. So she decided to "let go of everything holding [her] back" in Houston even though she has been living there since she was 8 years old.
One of the possible reasons why Sachse could be making such a huge life change is because of her mother's recent death in July 2023. In vlog comments, followers have been sharing their support, as her mother often featured in her videos.
Sachse also encouraged everyone to record videos and not just take photos of their loved ones, calling videos "the ultimate gift."
Where Is Dominique Sachse Going Next?
So where is Dominique Sachse going for her new job? The influencer mentioned the Dallas-Fort Worth area as her destination.
In the video, Sachse shared details about her big move, saying it happened in "warp speed." She found out about the opportunity just two days before Thanksgiving, got interviewed, and received an offer all before the holidays. When asked when she could start, she answered January 8th.
With such a short amount of time, Sachse explained how she kept herself busy over the holidays by getting rid of all the things in her apartment. Most of her furniture went to Courtney Young, her marketing and social media director, who will be moving with her to Dallas.
Lastly, Sachse shared that one of the reasons why she could not resist this unnamed opportunity was because it allowed her to continue vlogging and her podcast. That's one thing she doesn't want to change, she added.
Fans will have to keep an eye out for her next announcement as they celebrate this big new step in Sachse's life.
