Riot hasn't announced any new content slated to release in VALORANT Episode 3, Act 2, but expect the devs to reveal new content in the upcoming weeks. The major will update will most likely come with a new battle pass that will let players unlock new cosmetics for the game.

Episode 3, Act 2 may also introduce a new map or a new agent. The VALORANTYear-One Anthemteased a new well-dressed agent and map.

On August 2021, dataminers have leaked the codename of the new map: Canyon, but Riot hasn't officially revealed any details yet. A few days later, Valorleaks shared a description for the new map, which is said to be called Fracture. The Twitter post reads that Fracture is a "top-secret experiment site split apart by a radianite-fueled disaster. Flip the script on attackers with aggressive defender positioning on a new dual-biome map".

Although Riot confirmed that no new agents will be added in the Episode 3, Act 2 update, the devs confirmed that the seventh map Fracture will go live.

The map has a unique H-shapred layout. Fracture's A Site is distinguised by its arid desert environment with its abandoned facilties, and its B site is contrasted by lush overgrown foilage left to take over the science facility. At the middle of the map, close to where the Attackers spawn, is where the central collider is found, and players can zipline through underneath it.

A recent leak also hints the addition of a long-awaited feature: in-game tournaments. Hopefully, a replay system will also be added to the game, but now that we know that Riot is working hard to make the next VALORANT update the best it could be, it'll likely be a huge one.
