VALORANT First Look of New Map Fracture From Early Access

Riot Games recently revealed the seventh VALORANT map, Fracture, coming with the release of Episode 3, Act 2: Reflection on September 8, giving us our first look at its unique H-shaped layout and unorthodox attacker/defender spawns. The gameplay of the new map was inspired by The Lord of the Rings, according to VALORANT Level Designer, Joe Lansford.

While the new map won't be released until next week, various content creators, influencers, and streamers have been given early access to the new map, and thanks to Riot Games, I can share my first look at Fracture.

You can check out my video clips showcasing the preview graphic of Fracture as well as a tour of the entire map.

As previously revealed, the Defenders spawn at the center of the map. Fracture's A Site is distinguised by its arid desert environment with its abandoned facilties, and its B site is contrasted by lush overgrown foilage left to take over the science facility. At the middle of the map, close to where the Attackers spawn, is where the central collider is found, and players can zipline through underneath it.

There are four ultimate orbs (one from each quandrant) that players can get across the map. Each bomb site has multiple entry points, giving the attacking team more ways to approach the site, so it looks like this map is more Attackers-sided.

It looks like this map will is great for Skye, Yoru, Sage, and Sova, but I'm not sure if Cypher or Killjoy will do well considering that the Spike sites have multiple entry points.

VALORANT Episode 3, Act 2: Reflection launches on Sept. 8 along with a new battlepass.
