When Alchemy of Souls Season 1 ended, it left a cliffhanger ending. But the good news is, these questions will be answered when the show returns for a second season. And after getting renewed by Netflix, we finally know when Alchemy of Souls Season 2 is coming out.

Alchemy of Souls Season 2 will be entitled Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow. The good news is that we don't have to wait too long for the show to be released on Netflix. According to tvN drama, the show will be available to stream on its platform and on the streaming giant starting December 10th.

There will be a total of 10 episodes included in the second season. It will have a weekly episode release composed of two episodes per week. This means the show will have a total run of five weeks. The last two episodes will be released on January 10, 2023.

Written by the Hong Sisters, Alchemy of Souls is a period fantasy Korean drama about two mages who fall in love. Because of how well-written the show is, many were surprised to know that the first season barely scraped the surface of the story. And now, many are looking forward to the second season.

As revealed in the Alchemy of Souls Season 2 trailer, the events in this season will take place three years from the last episode. It will also give its viewers a glimpse of a more mature cast that features a reborn Jang Uk (played by Lee Jae Wook) and a vengeful Jin Cho Yeon (played by Arin).

Unfortunately, there is bad news that comes with the second season. The first season's main actress, Jung So Min will no longer be returning to reprise her role.
