There has been much debate over whether the classic film Die Hard is a Christmas movie or not. And now, it looks like we'll be getting another movie that joins the debate.

Violent Night is an upcoming movie that gives a different take on who Santa Clause is. But take heed-- even though the film has its own Santa, it's not all jolly and cheer. Its title alone explains what to expect from the film.

The film is directed by Tommy Wirkola and written by Josh Miller and Pat Casey. This dark comedy will give you a different side of St. Nick.

Even though Violent Night can be considered a Christmas movie, it's not the age-old Santa Clause we know from our childhood. In fact, Violent Night is a movie that's not for kids. The movie has received an R rating so it's not something you should let young kids watch.

Violent Night gives us a Santa Clause that knows how to kick ass and blows the naughty guys up. In the movie, Santa (played by David Harbour) is on his way to drop off gifts to those on his nice list when he receives a call from a little girl being held captive by a bunch of thieves headed by John Leguizamo.

Santa arrives at the girl's house and is attacked by the goons on his naughty list. It is up to Santa to rescue the little girl and help the family in the process.
