Season 2 was also set at this time, though things changed in Season 3. That’s because Discovery’s third season had a time jump of over 900 years to the 32nd century.
While the first two seasons were fairly well-received, the third season got acclaim for giving the show a fresh direction.

Discovery’s fourth season directly followed Season 3’s story, and it featured some of the heaviest developments in the series yet.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 Premieres Today: Where to Watch
The show’s fourth season was streamed on Paramount+ from November 2021 to March 2022. This was a departure from the other seasons which aired on CBS All Access.
For Season 5, fans can watch new episodes also on Paramount+. Discovery Season 5’s first two episodes will be released today on the platform, with one new episode being released every Thursday until May 30.
