Jordan Peele, the filmmaker behind critically-acclaimed movies Get Out and Us, is back with another film with a gripping plot and a well-ensemble cast. If you're wondering what Nope is about, it's a sci-fi horror film about: "Caretakers at a California horse ranch encounter a mysterious force that affects human and animal behaviour." At the surface, it's a UFO movie but there are layers of themes that make its story worth discussing for long.
Nope is written, directed, and co-produced by Jordan Peele, and he co-produced it under his MonkeyPaw Productions banner along with his longtime producing partner and collaborator, Ian Copper. The film is set to release in U.S. theaters on Friday, July 20.
The cast of Nope includes Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Brandon Perea, Wrenn Schmidt, Michael Wincott, Keith David, Donna Mills, Barbie Ferreira, and others.
