Back in 2012, Channing Tatum made a name for himself when he starred in Magic Mike and showed off his dance moves. The movie is based on the actor's own background as a male stripper in Tampa, Florida before he became an actor.
Apart from Tatum, the movie was a hit because of its all-star cast composed of talented and attractive men such as Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, and Matthew McConaughey. A sequel, called Magic Mike XXL, was released three years later. And now, a third film has been revealed and is confirmed to put an end to the franchise.

When Is Magic Mike’s Last Dance Coming Out?
A release date for Magic Mike's Last Dance has been announced. The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. in the US on February 10, 2023.
The original plan for the movie, however, was for it to be directly released on HBO Max. A theatrical release was not the initial plan, but this was changed in September. Instead, the movie will be released in theaters. Meanwhile, there is no word on when it will be available on streaming platforms.
What Is Magic Mike’s Last Dance Story About?
As of this writing, the plot details for Magic Mike's Last Dance remain under wraps. But Tatum has been quoted describing the movie as a "fish-out-of-water story where it's a reverse role Pretty Woman story that ends up with a lot of dancing in it."
Reid Carolin, a producing partner, also said that the movie will be about a woman rescued by Mike after being stuck at a tacky strip show.
The film's director, Steven Soderbergh, drew inspiration from Tatum's Magic Mike Live tour choreography and the classic All That Jazz by Bob Fosse.
And yes, there will be dancing involved-- lots of it. Reports reveal that the last 30 minutes of the film will be a dance sequence, which will be a fitting tribute to the trilogy. Tatum has promised fans that his famous 'water dance' live show will be included in the film.
As the title suggests, this will be the last Magic Mike movie with Channing Tatum in a lead role. Soderbergh says there are other projects involving other characters in the franchise, which means it won't be the last movie in the franchise.
