That's exactly what director Catherine Hardwicke wants its viewers to look forward to in her upcoming action-comedy movie called Mafia Mamma. The movie stars Toni Collette with a script written by Michael J. Feldman and Debbie Jhoon.
When Is Mafia Mamma Release Date?
There are reports that suggest Mafia Mamma will be released on April 14, 2023. Unfortunately, Bleecker Street has not yet revealed the official date for the film's debut. The trailer of the film also says that it is 'Coming Soon.'
In addition to the unknown release date, there's no word on which streaming platform will carry the movie first. The trailer says that Mafia Mamma will be seen in theaters when it gets released.
What Is Mafia Mamma Story About?
The movie, Mafia Mamma, follows the story of an insecure woman (played by Toni Collette) who receives an inheritance from her grandfather in Italy. But as it turns out, she inherits her grandfather's mafia empire.
Thankfully, she has the assistance of the trusted consigliere (played by Monica Bellucci) to help her out.
The official synopsis of the movie reads:
"The film is a hilarious, action-packed comedy about a suburban American woman who inherits her grandfather's Mafia empire and, guided by the Firm's trusted consigliere, defies everyone's expectations, including her own, as the new head of the family business."
