Christmas is right aorund the corner. And that typically means we'll get to see a slate of Christmas content getting released soon, just like Netflix did last year with Love Hard.
For this holiday season, Netflix plans to release a new Christmas movie that will also mark the comeback of a loved American actress: Lindsay Lohan. This is definitely something that a lot of her fans will look forward to seeing! If you're excited to see Lindsay back on your TV screen, mark your calendar for the release of Netflix's Falling for Christmas.
Falling for Christmas Story
This actually isn't the first time that Netflix has released information about this Christmas movie. Back in the summer of 2021, the streaming giant revealed in a tweet that Lindsay Lohan will star in a new romantic comedy. The tweet read:
“Lindsay Lohan will star in a new romantic comedy about a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter after getting total amnesia in a skiing accident”
At the time of reveal, however, Netflix did not have a definite title yet. There were some reports that the working title was previously Christmas in Wonderland. And in March 2022, Netflix revealed that they are doing two movies produced exclusively for them. The second film, called Irish Wish, will be filmed in the later part of 2022. It will also star Lindsay Lohan.
Falling for Christmas is directed by Janeen Damian with a script written by her, her husband, Michael Damian, Jeff Bonnett, and Ron Oliver.
Falling for Christmas Release Date
Production for Falling for Christmas started in November 8, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah and ran for over a couple of months. Filming wrapped up in December that year. While filming the movie, Lohan got engaged to Bader Shammas. The two wed in a private ceremony early in July 2022.
And as revealed by Variety, Netflix will release Falling for Christmas globally on November 10th.
