Prince Harry's revelation about his brother, Prince William, attacking him physically in his memoir, Spare, has been a hot topic. But aside from the brawl itself, many want to know about the necklace that broke when the fight happened.

In an interview with Stephen Colbert during the global release of Spare, the Duke of Sussex showed the host his black cord necklace, which broke during a fight with his brother in 2019.
"There is a lot of talk about the physical fight that the two of you had, where he pushed you down in the kitchen and broke the dog bowl when you fell on it," Colbert said.
The vet political commentator referenced a part from the book about the altercation between the two royal siblings at Nottingham Cottage, the younger prince's former home at Kensington Palace.

The reason for the fight was said to be because of Prince Harry's wife, Meghan Markle.
"He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor," he detailed in his book. "I landed on the dog's bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."

Colbert then talked about Prince Harry's necklace that broke during the fight.
"It says he broke your necklace. Which necklace was this that he broke?" Colbert asked.
He then pulled out a black cord tucked under his shirt.
"This one, which is now fixed," he said, revealing its importance to him.

The necklace in question has three silver charms that make it more significant.
"I've got my kids' heartbeats, which my wife gave me," he explained, showing the etch of Archie and Lilibet's cardiograms. "And I friend of mine in Botswana made this for me, which has got tiger's eye on it."

It has been known that Botswana has a special place in Prince Harry and Meghan's lives. The couple took a trip there together in 2016 for their third date.
