Prince Harry dropped his controversial memoir, Spare, in January, and many wanted to know if more books would come from Meghan Markle's husband. Knowing the Duke of Sussex has a four-book deal with Penguin Random House, would he make another mind-blowing revelation about the royal family?

Prince Harry's first book detailed his life as a child growing up in the public's eye, his military service in Afghanistan, becoming a family man, and, of course, his rift with his brother, Prince William, and other royal family members. So, what's he going to do next?

The Possible Next Books from Prince Harry

According to Entertainment Tonight, the military veteran's four-book deal with Penguin Random House is worth $35-$40 million. He first announced his publishing contract in July 2021, and Spare was released after about a year and a half.

So, what's next? The publication also noted that Prince Harry's next books would feature "other facets" of his life in public service.

One of those books might be about the Invictus Games, which he launched in 2014.

The inaugural multi-sport event supports "wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women," whether they're veterans or currently in service. The sporting event is to inspire "through athleticism."

Will there be a Spare Sequel?

Prince Harry revealed no sequel to his best-selling memoir would be out, but Page Six noted that a source claimed he might release bonus material in the paperback edition.

"Prince Harry is already planning to add at least one new chapter…to the paperback version…out later this year or early next, when the hardcover sales have ended," the insider said. "Readers are eager to know [Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle's] feelings about the royal backlash they have suffered after the airing of their Netflix doc and the publication of Spare."

However, the prince's rep shut down the claim, stressing it wasn't true, though the book's paperback release is yet to be announced.

Spare Supposed to be Two Books

Prince Harry told The Telegraph that his memoir's first draft was different.

"It was 800 pages, and now it's down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out," he stated.

He continued that a lot of things didn't make it to the final print, fearing it would only worsen his rift with the royal family.

"There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don't want the world to know… Because I don't think they would ever forgive me," he explained.

So, if he wishes to add a chapter or two to Spare, the Guinness Book of World Records noted he didn't have to make new materials as his first draft might already contain what he wanted to say.
