The four Human Errors (sometimes called the Major Human Errors) were four apocalypse-level events caused by people summoned to their world who were unable to control their powers.

The Executioner and Her Way of Life takes place in a fantasy world into which students from Japan are sometimes summoned. These people, named Lost Ones, are gifted certain powers, known as Pure Concept.

Some of the Pure Concepts have helped deliver technological advancements to the world through their powers.

However, their powers are always volatile. Lost Ones can lose control with extreme consequences for the world, despite any good intentions. The worst circumstances of this happening are called the four Human Errors.

Each Human Error is unique, based on the original Lost One’s powers. Each event took place on a different continent (north, east, south and west), rendering its affected area pretty much uninhabitable and killing many in the process.

So, without further ado, here are the four Human Errors:

  1. Sword of Salt

One of the first Human Errors we see in the series is known as the Sword of Salt. In this event, which serves as a starting point for Menou, the whole western continent was turned to salt by a Lost One.

One of the students summoned from Japan caused the entire western continent, including its people and buildings, to turn to salt. It’s not explained how exactly this happened, but the giant Sword of Salt sticking out of the ground appears to be all that’s left.

Slowly, but surely, the whole western continent dissolves into the sea.

  2. Pandemonium

This Human Error involves a thick fog that covers an island in the south.
Anybody can enter the fog-covered island but nobody can leave.

Supposedly, everybody inside the fog has been killed by a giant monster. It's also mentioned that this Human Error might be the source of all other monsters that appear in their world.

  3. Mechanical Society

Mechanical Society is a Human Error that took place in the East.

Here, a whole city lives under an artificial sun, and people have apparently been put into some form of mind control or transformation by a shut-in gamer. Similar to Pandemonium, the Mechanical Society still functions, and anyone that enters it is slowly corrupted in the same way as the residents.

  4. Starhusk

The last of the Major Human Errors is Starhusk, which impacted the north of their world.

Not much is known about what happened here, except that it apparently involves part of the northern continent being carved out and set afloat!

Hopefully, as Menou and Akari’s journey continues, we’ll get to understand and experience these events a little more.

It certainly feels like there are plenty more opportunities for worldbuilding here, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
