On Aug. 30, Krafton Inc announced a new crossover event for PUBG Mobile as the world of the popular shonen franchise, Dragon Ball, is coming to the free-to-play battle royale mobile game.
The announcement was shared on PUBG Mobile's official social media pages. Details about the crossover event are still being kept under wraps, but we do know that it will tie into the most recent Dragon Ball Super movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. The crossover event won't happen until 2023, so expect the developers to reveal more details about the upcoming crossover in a few months.
PUBG Mobile previously collaborated with other globally-acclaimed anime and animated titles, including Arcane, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Jujutsu Kaisen. With Dragon Ball, players will see the popular mobile game feature the world and characters of the shonen franchise Akira Toriyama created.
Fortnite recently released launched the major crossover event with Dragon Ball, and it's one of the biggest collaborations for the popular battle royale game from Epic Games. Players are able to purchase Dragon Ball-themed cosmetics from the in-game shop, including skins for Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and Beerus. There are also multiple Super Saiyan styles for Goku and Vegeta, and Epic Games is selling Dragon Ball-themed backblings, gliders, pickaxes and emotes as well.
It's likely that PUBG Mobile will take a similar approach, but fans will have to wait until 2023 to find out what the crossover event will be about.
