The characters in Jujutsu Kaisen have an aura of mystery around them, and Sukuna is no different.

Regarded as the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, Sukuna existed for centuries through a transformative process. Upon death, he turned into a cursed object, splitting his power into 20 fingers.

After more than a millennium, the 20 fingers are dispersed across Japan.

Designated as special-grade objects, they withstand even Satoru Gojo's direct attacks.

Remarkably, when ordinary curses consume one of Sukuna’s fingers, they experience a significant surge in power.

In his form as Yuji, Sukuna flaunted a rose-colored spiked hair gently swept forward, accompanied by tattoos or lines covering his forehead, cheeks, nose, abdomen, and upper body.

Sukuna also has a second pair of eyes concealed beneath his regular eyes. Despite being depicted as a mythical demon in folklore, Sukuna was originally a human jujutsu sorcerer during Japan’s Heian era.

Sukuna's creation in Jujutsu Kaisen is deeply steeped in Japanese mythology. His tales are documented in Nihon Shoki, which is an ancient collection of Japanese history.

Within these narratives, Sukuna is shown as a powerful being possessing two sets of arms and legs, each positioned on both the front and back of his body.

His ancient appearance is uncannily similar to what Sukuna’s current form is in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Therefore, before Yuji became his host, Sukuna looked like a demon with two faces and four arms.

Some fans also theorize that Sukuna might be Yuji’s long-lost twin.

A Reddit user proposed a theory about Sukuna and Yuji’s form. It is commonly presumed that Sukuna had a twin sibling, similar to Mai and Maki Zenin.

In Sukuna’s case, however, the roles are reversed, as he absorbed his twin’s cursed energy by subduing their soul.

The theory strongly suggests the existence of his twin brother but also unveils Sukuna’s real cursed technique, which is the ability to suppress others’ souls and take control of their cursed techniques as his own.

What do you think about these theories about Sukuna’s form before Yuji became his host?
