Agatha about to make her wish

In the Netflix movie, we see Agatha attend the Animal Communications class taught by Professor Dovey and the other princesses from the School of Good. The class is held on the edge of a lake within the school grounds where a school of fish, known as the Wish Fish, can supposedly make your wish come true if it is strong enough.

Kiko dips her finger into the water and sees Tristan loving her back, and when Beatrix dips her finger, she sees a future with Tedros.

When Professor Dovey asked Agatha to try wishing, she wished for a home, for everyone. The Wish Fish appeared agitated, with all the fish clamoring to cling to Agatha before transforming into a Princess whom Agatha pulls out of the water.

The princess thanks Agatha for wishing her home after being trapped for a hundred years.

In the novel The School of Good and Evil, we learn that the fish (princess??) was a Mogrif.

What are Mogrifs?

A Mogrif is a human turned into an animal or a plant. They are meant to assist the heroes and the villains who succeed in The School of Good and Evil. Mogrifs are the lower-ranking students from the school who are slowly turned into other creatures, one student at a time.
