Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy is still widely regarded by a lot of fans as one of the best live-action adaptations of arguably Marvel's flagship superhero and it's "amazing" (no pun intended) how almost two decades have passed and they still hold up pretty well to this day especially the first two films. This month marks the 19th anniversary of the first Spider-Man film which pretty much put the name Tobey Maguire on the map and attracted a new generation of comic book fanatics.

To a lot of fans, the original Spider-Man film was their first true introduction to the Marvel realm and following the success of the 2002 flick, Marvel regained a new mojo that would be the catalyst for what would eventually become the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Taking to Twitter, webheads celebrated the milestone and a lot of them still remain loyal to Maguire's take on the friendly neighborhood superhero, even going as far as claiming that the Raimi trilogy is still the best live-action Spider-Man adaptation out there. Check out some of the reactions below:

Honestly, I get where a lot of people are coming from and how passionate they still are when talking about Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man film because the film is really that good. I've always thought that it is one of the most important superhero films of all time, and if there was ever a Mount Rushmore for superhero and comic book films, Spider-Man should definitely be part of the conversation.

Speaking of our favorite wallcrawler, Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas in December.
