Damon Lindelof had delivered some amazing television with Watchmen last year, and now everyone is wondering what he has in mind for his next project. Though he's not working on a second season of Watchmen, Lindelof does have his eyes set on the MCU.
Talking to Fandom, Lindelof explains:
"I think that doing something in the Marvel universe, anywhere in the Marvel Universe, would be really potentially exciting for me, especially as they start to get a little bit more experimentalā¦ Some of the things that I've seen for āWandaVision,' for example, just feel like, āOkay, now we're getting somewhere.' Particularly in a television space."
We don't exactly know what's going to happen for WandaVision, but if it's getting Lindelof excited, then I'm sure it's something to see. Though Marvel Studios has been kind of formulaic when it comes to their box office releases, Disney+ promises some more experimental takes down the line, now that the risks have been significantly lowered.
I guess the only crutch that Disney+ has going for it is the PG-13 limit. I mean, if Lindelof is going to work on something for the MCU, I hope he'll be allowed to go all out. Then again, maybe it could be an interesting challenge for him to bring us something compelling while staying inside the PG zone. It's just a thought.
For now, WandaVision is set for a release this coming December. You can check out Lindelof's fantastic Watchmen series on HBO.
