Watch the Stan Lee Featurette Which Covers His Time Appearing in the Mcu

Avengers: Endgame hits digital today, and it marks Stan Lee's final cameo in the MCU. Marvel Studios has actually prepared a featurette with Lee talking about his time in the MCU, and it has a lot of behind-the-scenes looks at the cameos when Lee shot them.

What's absolutely endearing is how Lee talks to all the other actors when he's on the set. When you look at his appearance in the first Iron Man, you can see that he's given his blessing for Robert Downey Jr. to be Tony Stark; RDJ also looks absolutely giddy whenever Stan Lee is on the set.

I just kind of wish they included shots from Lee's appearances in non-MCU films like X-Men or Spider-Man. Disney already owns Fox and Sony has their deal with Marvel, so I was hoping they could get access to that footage. Then again, I can understand if they wanted to keep the featurette focused solely on the MCU.

For now, it looks like we won't be able to see Stan Lee appearing in the MCU any longer. They didn't find a way to bring him into Spider-Man: Far from Home, which would have been the perfect sendoff, seeing that Spider-Man was Lee's favorite creation. I'm still keeping hope they bring him back somehow, but I thought the appearance of a younger Lee in Endgame was already pretty good.

Avengers: Endgame is now available on digital, and it hits Blu-Ray/DVD on Aug. 13.
