People can't seem to get enough of Darth Maul right now. Lucasfilm has already shared awesome images of Ray Park as the former Sith Lord in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Now the studio has released the full scene where Qi'ra contacts Maul and informs him of Dryden Vos' death in the movie. Check it out below.
The sequence is still one of the best moments in Solo considering that nobody was expecting the Crimson Dawn leader to Darth Sidious's former apprentice. Nevertheless, it was a welcome surprise when Maul finally removed his hood and used the Force to grab his lightsaber.
But why is Lucasfilm suddenly generating so much fuss about Darth Maul? There are speculations that it could be the studio's way to get people interested in the upcoming release of the Solo DVD and Blu-ray later this month. However, others believe it could mean something bigger that would involve Maul. Could a standalone film about the iconic Dathomirian Zabrak be in the future?
Park had previously admitted that he has some ideas of what he would like to happen if Maul returns to the big screen. It might be too early to make any predictions but the actor has also confessed that he spoiled his character's cameo in Solo on his own Instagram account. Is this Park's way of confirming Maul's major comeback is happening soon? We're definitely keeping our fingers crossed on this one.
The Solo: A Star Wars Story DVD and Blu-ray will be released on September 25.
