Ray Park Admits Spoiling Darth Maul Cameo In Solo: A Star Wars Story

Darth Maul's cameo in Solo: A Star Wars Story was certainly a huge surprise for fans. However, actor Ray Park admits he had repeatedly spoiled his appearance in the film. Interestingly, nobody noticed anything unusual about his posts because they were so focused on a completely different movie.

Park recently spoke to Forbes about working on Solo, stating that he learned about Maul's big-screen comeback in mid-2017. He immediately signed on and filmed his scenes in October the same year. Park then confessed that he spoiled Maul's return on social media.

"I may have deleted a bunch, but if you go back and check all my Instagram posts, I was secretly telling everyone, but no one knew," Park said.

So how did the Solo actor's posts go unnoticed? Everyone may have seen it but assumed that Park was working on the Obi-Wan Kenobi standalone film. After all, Maul would make more sense showing up in the Jedi's spin-off movie than in the Ron Howard flick. Needless to say, we're glad we didn't see this coming because it had everyone shocked.

Park is certainly eager to reprise his role as Maul in another feature film and admits he has a lot of ideas on how to bring the character's story arc even further. It would be great to see him in action once again but there have been no updates yet on a possible Maul standalone movie.

The Solo: A Star Wars Story DVD and Blu-ray will be released on September 25.
