At last weekend's Pro Tour Hour of Devastation, Rich Hagen took a minute to address a heartfelt message to the viewers of the competitive event, and it's about the dedication and hardwork of players who compete at Magic: The Gathering Pro Tours. and how they do it for the "love of the game." The one-minute clip shows a teary-eyed Magic coverage veteran reminds us of why Magic isn't simply just a game but also a way of life, a career to those who compete for the grand prize of $50,000 dollars. "Magic isn't just a card game, Magic is a people game," Rich says. "We just witnessed something pretty extraordinary, pretty exceptional, pretty heartbreaking, and that's why among many reasons, Magic is the best game in the world." Watch the clip below:

A lot of professional players worked their asses off to qualify to the Pro Tour, and while many viewers may think it's easy to say that any player can get a chance to win the big prize, it's not, and Hagen's message speaks the truth about why Magic is a meaningful part of a competitor's life.
