Watch New Mutants Star Get Visibly Confused After Being Asked About the Movie’s Release

Anya Taylor-Joy may have starred in Glass earlier this year, but she's also set to appear in Fox's X-Men spinoff, The New Mutants. The film has been delayed a ridiculous number of times, and apparently, even the actors can't keep up on when the movie is coming out.

Talking to The Upcoming, Taylor-Joy was asked about the film, and you can actually watch her become slightly caught off-guard as she looks for something to say. This is the clip:

"That, uh, it's coming your way at some point! And my character is sassy as fuck and mental and Russian and crazy and I love her."

Originally, The New Mutants was set to come out on April of last year, then Fox delayed the film's release to February of this year, before pushing it even further back to August. The first delay was said to have been because of some reshoots that the studio demanded, the rest of the delays that followed were probably made as to not make The New Mutants compete with bigger films like Captain Marvel or Shazam!.

In The New Mutants, Taylor-Joy is set to play the mutant Magik. She'll be joined by the likes of Maisie Williams (Wolfsbane), Henry Zaga (Sunspot), Blu Hunt (Mirage), Charlie Heaton (Cannonball), and Alice Braga (Cecilia Reyes).

Held in a secret facility against their will, five new mutants have to battle the dangers of their powers, as well as the sins of their past. They aren't out to save the world — they're just trying to save themselves.

Catch The New Mutants in theaters Aug. 2.
