Warner Bros Reportedly Wants Keanu Reeves To Return As Constantine In More DC Films

It looks like Warner Bros. might be interested in pursuing new DC projects that involve the occult. A new report reveals that the studio is hoping to bring back Keanu Reeves as John Constantine in several DC Extended Universe films.

Reeves first played the Hellblazer in the 2005 movie and although there were rumors of sequels, it never really panned out. Since then, Constantine has been portrayed by Matt Ryan in the ill-fated TV series, a Justice League Dark animated film, and the CW show Legends of Tomorrow. But is it time for Reeves to take back the role in a new Warner Bros. film?

A report from We Got This Covered cites an anonymous source who claims that the studio is seriously considering making more movies that will focus on the occult detective. However, WB reportedly has no plans of bringing in Ryan to play Constantine and is pursuing Reeves to reprise his role in the 2005 film.

It's a touchy casting choice considering that most fans have now grown to love Ryan as the warlock. On the other hand, Reeves has the star power that would guarantee big money for the studio. In addition to that, the John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum star had already stated that he is eager to revisit the role in the future.

Personally, I would love to see either actor play Constantine in as many movies as possible. Although we'd love to see more of Constantine in the future, it's important to point out that the news has not yet been confirmed by Warner Bros. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.
