Warhammer 40K Trends as Henry Cavill Confirms Involvement in Amazon Project

It's true that when a door closes, another one opens. Just a day after he confirmed that he will not be returning as Superman, Henry Cavill has recovered by announcing his involvement in Amazon Prime's live-action Warhammer 40,000 project. Not surprisingly, Cavill's amazing rebound has made Warhammer 40K a trending topic on social media.

Earlier today, Henry Cavill confirmed that he will be involved in Amazon's Warhammer 40K project, calling it the "Warhammer Cinematic Universe." In addition to starring in multiple projects in the new franchise, the longtime Warhammer enthusiast Cavill will serve as executive producer.

It didn't take long for fans to celebrate Cavill's new project and soon, Warhammer 40K became the hot trending topic on Twitter.

It's certainly a stunning rebound considering that Henry Cavill stepped away from one major franchise and was left out of another within three months. Back in October, it was confirmed that he will be leaving The Witcher in its fourth season and will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth. Although Cavill was expected to reprise his role as Superman in Man of Steel 2, he clarified yesterday that the project is not moving forward.

For now, it is unclear what the Warhammer 40K projects will be about since Amazon is still looking for filmmakers, creators, and writers to work with on the franchise. However, Cavill assures fans that the live-action films and shows will stay true to the source material.

"Having a home like Amazon will give us the freedom to be true to the massive scope of Warhammer," Cavill wrote in his latest Instagram post.

To all of you Warhammer fans out there, I promise to respect this IP that we love. I promise to bring you something familiar. And I endeavour to bring you something fantastic that is, as of yet, unseen," he added.

The Warhammer 40K project is still in early development. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
