Warcraft Getting a Pokemon GO-Type Mobile Game

Pokemon was already a big hit for Nintendo, but it became a worldwide phenomenon when Pokemon GO launched, forcing gamers to go out and actually collect Pokemon outside of their homes. As it turns out, Blizzard wants in on this game type, and players could soon be trading out Pokemon for something else (Mana, I suppose).

As per Kotaku, Blizzard is currently interested in developing a game that works pretty much like Pokemon GO, but instead will be a branch from World of Warcraft. We don't have any details on the mechanics as of now, but it's said that former lead designer for WoW, Cory Stockton, is a huge fan of Pokemon.

With the announcement of Diablo Immortals not being met well by the fans, maybe a "World of WarcraftGO" might be something more enjoyable. I don't know if players would be collecting Pokemon like in the game, but I imagine that people could walk around and receive quests and real locations could be altered into dungeons.

Like I said no official details have been released for this mobile WoW game, but if they want to make it like Pokemon GO, I'm just pitching what kind of gameplay it could possibly have.

As for Pokemon GO, the game has seen a huge drop in popularity since its launch back in 2016, but it has managed to maintain a stable player base as of now.

No release date has been announced for this mobile WoW game, but Pokemon GO is now playable for Android and iOS.
