There is little doubt that fans are happy about Vision getting his own series with Scarlet Witch in WandaVision. However, it still doesn't take away the fact that the android was not one of the superheroes who came back in the epic portal sequence in Avengers: Endgame. Not surprisingly, Paul Bettany has admitted that he would have been "bummed" if he didn't know the truth about his character's fate.
Bettany recently joined WandaVision co-star Elizabeth Olsen in an interview with Jake's Takes where Endgame was discussed. Interestingly, the Avengers: Infinity War actor pointed out that he accepted Vision's absence in the portal scene since he was aware of what had happened to the android.
"I would have been [bummed], but by that point, I already knew why. And then we spent a year shooting the 'why,'" Bettany said. He continued by adding how Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige made it clear to him that this was necessary.
"And Kevin explained it to me and I thought, 'It's hard to argue with his logic.' He's very smart, and he's got very good instincts. So I trusted it," Bettany said.
Marvel fans already know that Vision was killed when Thanos removed the Mind Stone from him in Infinity War, which means he died before the Snap. Since it wasn't the Snap that caused his death, this meant that the android would not be brought back. However, he is mysteriously back in WandaVision.
Are you ready to find out how Vision is still alive in the upcoming series? WandaVision premieres on Disney+ on January 15.
