WandaVision is arguably the most exciting MCU series coming to Disney+, even if some would argue that it's Falcon and Winter Soldier. Granted, Falcon and Winter Soldier sounds a bit more interesting in theory since it explores a post-Captain America MCU, even dealing with one of his enemies in Baron Zemo but WandaVision will explore the multiverse, which could open up even more possibilities.
The movie's cast has already intrigued many, confirming Monica Rambeau, who many know as a version of Captain Marvel from the comics. Well, thanks to some set photos from BackGrid (via Just Jared), we now know that S.W.O.R.D. will also play a part in the series. This is huge since previous MCU installments never confirmed S.W.O.R.D. so to see the intriguing organization Joss Whedon introduced in Astonishing X-Men in live-action should be a treat.
How Rambeau factors into the plot has a lot of us intrigued since we know she's supposed to get cosmic powers. The character was actually calling herself Captain Marvel before Carol, who was uncomfortable with the alias, originally using the Ms. Marvel pseudonym. People also don't associate her with Wanda or Vision, unless you're a fan of Roger Stern's Avengers comics (and who isn't?), so her inclusion has a lot of us curious.
WandaVision is slated to debut on Disney+ sometime in 2021. That's going to be a huge year for Marvel and Disney+ with Hawkeye also expected to debut in that year.
