Now that WandaVision season 1 has ended as well as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, fans are beginning to wonder if Disney has a Season 2 in store for either series.
There is little doubt that fans still have questions after the conclusion of WandaVision. So what are the chances that the Marvel Cinematic Universe series will get a second season? Some believe that Scarlet Witch could reunite with the New Vision and return for Season 2.
WandaVision Season 2 Release Date
As of June 2021, Disney has not released a statement confirming a Season 2 of WandaVision. Considering viewership numbers have been in for many months, this means it is unlikely we will get an announcement anytime soon for a follow-up on Disney Plus, and that there is a good chance we won't get a second season. WandaVision was originally created as a limited series, so this shouldn't come as a surprise.
That being said, you will still be able to check out the Scarlet Witch in her next confirmed appearance in Doctor Strange 2.
What will Happen in WandaVision Season 2?
Disney and Marvel Studios have not yet confirmed WandaVision for a second season. However, fans believe that the series left many things unfinished and will be explored in Season 2.
So what could we expect in WandaVision Season 2? There is a possibility that the new season will take place after the events in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Some believe that the series will pick up immediately after Scarlet Witch works with the Sorcerer Supreme in the MCU sequel.
How will Scarlet Witch Team up with Doctor Strange?
Fans couldn't stop talking about the end-credits scene that showed Wanda relaxing in a cabin while her Scarlet Witch astral form studies the Darkhold. Her studying is interrupted when she suddenly hears the voices of her sons.
There are several speculations about what happened to Billy and Tommy after the Hex disappeared. The most popular theory suggests that the twins ended up in a different dimension and that Wanda will work with Doctor Strange to find them.
Although the premise of Doctor Strange 2 is still unclear, there is a possibility that the movie will conclude with Wanda reuniting with her sons. It could then lead to her searching for the New Vision, which might be the premise of WandaVision Season 2.
Is WandaVision Season 2 Happening?
For now, Disney and Marvel Studios have not yet renewed WandaVision for a second season. After all, the show was meant to be a limited series that will prepare the MCU for Doctor Strange 2. On the other hand, the demands of fans could be heard and we could get an update soon.
