Warning: if you haven't seen the latest episode of WandaVision yet, this news contains major SPOILERS so read at your own risk.

It's safe to say at this point that Fridays have pretty much become a lot of Marvel fans' favorite day of the week and to many, watching WandaVision has undeniably become somewhat of a religion and a hard habit to actually break. This week, the Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany spinoff series once again did not disappoint in delivering all the goodies MCU fans signed up for.

Sure, it still makes use of that American sitcom formula they've been incorporating since the beginning of the show but for the most part, Episode 6 was overall fun and thrilling. Not only did it give us a better idea of who the series' main villain could actually be, but it may have also finally introduced us to the franchise's new female superhero.

When it was first announced that Teyonah Parris' character Monica Rambeau would be joining the project, a lot of fans were left scratching their heads as to why she had to be included. Now, as the series progresses, we're slowly learning that WandaVision is actually setting her up to be Photon/Spectrum. It totally makes sense considering Rambeau is set to appear in Captain Marvel 2.

Now, you may be wondering, how exactly does she get her superhuman abilities? In the first Captain Marvel film, Carol Danvers got her powers after being exposed to the Tesseract aka the Space Stone. Turns out, Monica also suffered the same fate as her Auntie Carol but instead of the Space Stone, the series teases that her overexposure to Wanda's "hex" could end up giving her powers.

We're all aware the Mind Stone activated Maximoff's powers but it remains unclear if it's the same energy source she uses for the hex. The safest assumption, for now, is that Wanda, for some reason, also has access to the Reality Stone which could've given her the ability to create her "ideal" version of Westview in the first place. Hopefully, next week's episode answers that.

The latest episode of WandaVision is now streaming on Disney+.
