After a midseason hiatus, The Flash will finally be returning later this week to show what's next following Crisis on Infinite Earths. The event seems to have a prolonged effect that'll be present in the show and it looks like it's also a reason for another speedster to make his return.
In a recent interview with TV Line, The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace teased the return of Keiynan Lonsdale's Wally West in the show. "How do I say this without spoilers," he said. "Wally returns for one of the pivotal episodes in the mythology of The Flash, and that is not an understatement."
Wallace revealed that Kid Flash will be coming back as a "changed person." He says whatever he deals with once he comes back and how it involves Barry Allen "will literally change the two of them" as well as their abilities moving forward.
The showrunner also told the outlet that fans will "immediately" get to see what has changed in the Flash's world because they "discuss it right up top." Wallace also teased a "big surprise" that'll change the life of one member of Team Flash "forever."
