Marvel fans have seen Teen Groot. They've seen Baby Groot. They've seen regular Groot. Now it looks like everyone's going to get a whole new Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3.
Though he does try his best to keep the highly anticipated films under wraps, Groot voice actor Vin Diesel can't help but tease fans with what to expect from the hero in James Gunn's third Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com to help promote his new movie, Bloodshot, Diesel told the entertainment news outlet to keep an eye out for "Alpha Groot" in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
"I only have two words about that character and it is 'Alpha Groot,'" Diesel told the entertainment news outlet when he was asked what to expect from the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
It's a pretty vague description of the Groot that we'll get to see in GOTG Vol. 3, but it does offer a whole lot of possibilities. Could Alpha Groot be the best version of Groot that we've yet to see? Does Alpha Groot mean that we'll get to see the Guardian of the Galaxy spearheading a few missions? Or does Alpha Groot mean that the once-Teenager Groot is now going to be buffer, and fuller, and more intimidating?
We're sure to get more information on Alpha Groot once Marvel begins marketing the film once it's closer to its release date.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has yet to receive a release date, but we'll update fans as soon as we get word. Bloodshot on the other hand premieres this Friday, March 13.
